Ep. #9: Shared Brokenness
A new book released this summer—just a few weeks ago, in fact, and it’s easily one of the most beautifully-written, haunting memoirs I’ve read in a long while. And it’s not just because a friend of mine wrote it. This is a book filled with words and sentences threaded together to weave a tapestry of grace. It’s truly stunning.
In this podcast episode, I’m talking with my friend Amber Haines, author of Wild in the Hollow: On Chasing Desire and Finding the Broken Way Home. We talk about what it’s been like to see her book released into the world, why it’s been good to move in two weeks to a new house right after her book release—along with purging our belongings and living simply (of course), poetry and liturgy and the sacredness of living in the here and now.
She’s one of my favorite people. Hey, at least listen for her glorious accent.
