Holiday this & that

I hope you’re all having a lovely start to December…. Some years, I’m a bit hesitant to jump into the holiday season, but this year, I feel more than ready.

(Perhaps it was our tumultuous fall?)

Kyle’s been busy sanding our floors, and once they’re sealed, we’ll celebrate by getting our Christmas tree. For those of you who follow me on Instagram—I think we’re going to go with skipping the stain and simply clear-coating the wood!

I do love me a simple, bright Scandinavian look. I’m stoked.

I’ve loved your feedback about this year’s Gift Guide—I truly do love curating this list every year; it feels like a privilege to highlight fantastic brands and makers doing good work.

If you haven’t yet browsed, here’s a highlight of some of my favorites from the Guide:

Head here to check out the rest (I’ve also now updated the Stocking Stuffer section)!

Also, here’s a fun addition, especially if you have someone big on natural living on your list: Get $180 in store credit for only $15 from a variety of natural-focused shops!

georgetown christmas

This weekend, we’re going to enjoy our small town’s Stroll on the Square—our yard already has its “no parking” sign in front in preparation for the Christmas parade to go by right in front of our house.

I still can’t believe where we live.

Amazing gift guide, loads of great ideas and a great variety. I want to shop more ethically this year and these have given me some great solutions.

  2. Seana Turner

Such a fun gift guide. I love the nesting bowls – so gorgeous! I love putting my list of gift ideas together each year as well… I think it is as much fun for us as it is for our readers. That square with all the lights is so inviting! You do live in a beautiful spot:)

  3. Tsh Oxenreider

I’m so glad! Yes, I agree—there were some great ideas for the Gift Guide this year! <3

  4. Laura

The necklace is crafted from a survivor of slavery? Geez, I hope not! 😉

Seriously, though, your gift guide got me to sign up for Book of the Month and I am *so* excited to receive my first book!

  5. Eva

Madeline Brandy bag – it is just what my mum needs! Thanks for great idea.
