Weekend links

Tsh is the founder of this blog and just finished traveling around the world with her husband and 3 kids. Her latest book is Notes From a Blue Bike, and believes a passport is one of the world's greatest textbooks.

And in case you missed it, last week we released Episode 4 of The Simple Mom Podcast, New Mom. I chat with Nicole Bennett, editor of Simple Organic and Gidget Goes Home — we talk about what you really need for a newborn (hint: not wipe warmers), surfing, iced coffee, and lots more.

It sounds like lots of you have really enjoyed these podcasts so far — I’m so glad! They’re meant to be more entertainment than how-to… something to space out listening to while you fold laundry. Let me know what you’d like to hear in the future. They’re going to be a regular feature here soon!

“Life affords no greater responsibility, no greater privilege, than the raising of the next generation.” – C. Everett Koop

  1. The House Where Time Stood Still is a 30min drive from my home! I’ve been reading Simple Mom for a while now, so to see you link to something so close to home is a bit weird!!

I have to ask – what attracted you to that story? And how on earth did you become aware of it? ‘Cause you know – New Zealand is a loooonnnggg way away from you. :-)

BTW – love all the Simple Media sites – in my daily read folder on Google Reader. Thank you for all your hard work.

  2. I like reading your blog entitled “8 Ways to Care For Yourself… Even in the Midst of Your Two-Year-Old’s Tantrums.” I can actually relate you to my own experience to my kids. I read all the links posted but that’s the blog I really like most. :)

  3. I’m going to read ALLL OF THESE right now!

  4. Okay, I’m out of the loop here in Babyland (just had #6 in Nov.), can I subscribe to your podcast on iTunes?

  5. Oops I haven’t seen it yet. I need to check this podcast post to see what I’m missing! Thank you for sharing Tsh. :)
