Is it unseasonably warm where you are, too? It was 90 degrees here in Austin yesterday — bizarre. Our kids wanted to get out the kiddie pool, but alas, it had a hole. Dad with the water hose and a tree swing was the next best thing.

You have until 12 p.m. CST today to enter your before-and-afters for hot spot 3 if you want a chance at winning this week’s giveaway — two hours of vision mapping with Laura Edwards of  Simplicity Consultant (Of course, you can post your results anytime throughout Project: Simplify). Check back here soon for the announcement of the winner!

UPDATE: The winner is Kate Berry! Congrats — check for an email from me soon.

I spoke to a group of women this weekend, and during my talk, I swelled with gratitude for my readers here. You all are the best. I can’t thank you enough for making this little corner of the Internet what it is. Thank you so much for who you are, and for giving me the privilege of sharing it with you. High fives all around.

Get some rest today — on to hot spot 4 tomorrow!

  1. No, it’s not unseasonably warm here (smile). I thought Texas was always hot.

  2. In the middle-of-nowhere, Kansas this weekend has barely gotten us to 30 degrees! Pretty chilly for the end of March. Thanks for the links and I’m waiting for the next hot spot tomorrow! (I’m 36 weeks preggo and benefitting greatly from this foccussing of my nesting.)

  3. I wish it was 90 degrees here. We are having unseasonably cold weather here…it was – 10C when I woke up this morning. Feel free to send some of the heat this way.

  4. It’s hot here in Fl. On the way back from church my husband said, we need to get to the beach before it gets too hot”. I said, “too late”. Love it and hate it at the same time.

  5. Really mulling over that post by Zen Habits. I know I am totally guilty of sending looong emails (in fact, Tsh, you have been on the receiving end of a few :) ), but I have a few reasons. I am naturally chatty and like to explain–perhaps over-explain–in communication. Since I see email as communication, it would just seem somehow rude to barge right in and make a request or ask questions without “chatting up” the person and explaining exactly where I’m coming from. Plus, I don’t mind at all getting long emails from people I want to develop a deeper relationship with, or whose emails are actually interesting or thought-provoking, so I never imagined mine could be annoying others.

It’s definitely something to think about, though.

  6. The Back to the future photos cracked me up…some were a bit disturbing though. :) Kind of nervous about hotspot #4…

  7. I live in MN, so it’s not time to put on the swimsuits yet. Sidenote: my daughters have the same suit your daughter is wearing!

  8. Hot? Kiddie pool? I think you just blew my mind. ;)
