Weekend links

And yesterday (in)courage published my monthly post over there, about the boring stuff, and that it matters. It really does.

Favorite Instagram of the week (head here to follow me):

Today’s office. I was never a big fan of September before we moved to Oregon – now it’s one of my favorite months of the year. Breezy, currently 75, sweater in the morning, flip flops in the afternoon.

“This was one of those perfect days in late summer where the spirit of autumn takes a first stealing flight, like a spy, through the ripening country-side, and, with feigned sympathy for those who droop with August heat, puts her cool cloak of bracing air about leaf and flower and human shoulders.” -Sarah Orne Jewett

  1. Love the Lenny Kravitz video.

  2. Oh.. how I love your office!! Where did you get the “hey y’all” sign from? I know I’ll probably never get it here but am hoping it’s from someone on Etsy who can ship to India..LOL!

Look forward to checking out all these reads.. They’re all new to me:)

  3. Thx as always for your links … although I still struggle with purging and letting go. I’m hoping that as this should be our last move (for awhile) that I can really buckle down with this?

  4. How to let go was one of the best reads I’ve seen this week! In an effort to declutter and purge, I hadn’t even considered putting the focus on what I love and how those things contribute to it. I’ve been stuck in the “have I used this in the past year, if not I’ll toss it.”

Looking at decluttering as a way to put the focus on what I love in life is a great technique for keeping what I love and tossing the excess that doesn’t make me happy or doesn’t provide a purpose.

  5. Looking forward to taking some time out and checking them out. This post also reminded me about instagram. I have not a clue about instagram and yet as a visual person think it may be right up my street?

  6. That quote about September is perfect! We just made the move from Alabama to Boise, Idaho about a year ago and I was like you….September was just something you endured until cooler-ish weather arrived in October – now it’s one of my favorite months!

  7. HOW TO LET GO! Definitely reading this. Can’t believe I missed reading it over the weekend!

  8. I’ve been surfing on-line more than 3 hours lately, yet I never discovered any interesting article like yours. It is pretty value sufficient for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the web shall be a lot more helpful than ever before.
