Tsh is the founder of this blog and lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband and 3 kids. Her latest book is Notes From a Blue Bike, and believes a passport is one of the world's greatest textbooks.

Today’s giveaway comes from sponsor True Beauty: Be Still, a film and reflection guide created by Lisa Chan. From True Beauty:

“Every woman knows the feeling. Regardless of her age, her income, or her family situation, women today are facing the challenges of a busy life and the stress that comes with it.

Obligations to children, husband, job, church, friends, committees, and the pressures of everyday life have created a spiritual crisis for women. Because in their efforts to be everything to everyone, women have forgotten the ONE who really should be their everything.

Lisa Chan believes that in our quest to do it all, women are missing God. In the first film of her new series, True Beauty: Finding Your Identity in Jesus, Chan focuses on what it means to Be Still. Be Still addresses the issues that confront women when they forget to spend time with Jesus — something that, like most women, Chan struggled with herself.

As a mother of five children, co-founder of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California, and wife of best-selling author and pastor Francis Chan, Lisa knows firsthand what it means to be overwhelmed, overcommitted, and out of time.

It was an unplanned, extended time alone with God that fueled her desire to encourage every woman to see the beauty of coming before the Lord in stillness. She has seen firsthand that women in the church are suffering from depression, anxiety, and stress at alarming rates—and recognizes that women need to make the choice to find hope and healing and truth from God’s presence and through His Word.

With this film, Chan comes alongside women in their walk with the Lord to give them the tools they need to be the person God intends them to be.”

    to actually BE STILL!

  20. Sounds perfect for the season of life we are in!

  25. Seeing this give away was a message from God for me. I’m doing a Bible study on intimacy with God and the message the Holy Spirit whispered to me was Be Still. Then I started reading my email and this giveaway came up. It just blew me away ! Thank you, Jesus ! I’d love to win this and do a Bible Study for young women in our church.

  26. Looks like an awesome study that we could all use!

  27. “Obligations to children, husband, job, church, friends, committees, and the pressures of everyday life have created a spiritual crisis for women.” This is me in a nutshell. Thanks for the chance to win!

  29. I love family life and the hustle and bustle of kids and pets. My difficulty is managing work on top of that. The added stress that comes with work (and the money-stress that’s the reason for working) gets me overwhelmed at times.

I was thinking the other day about what beauty is…I came to the conclusion that beauty is not about symmetry, or weight, or anything we can see. It is about conf idence! True, pure beauty is having confidence in who and what we are. If we are followers of Jesus, and have given our life and heart to Him, then our confidence should come from being fearfully and wonderfully made, forgiven, and loved unconditionally. I am beautiful because Jesus lives in me!!

  32. What a lovely thought. What a lovely gift. Thank you for the opportunity!

  34. This is a huge area of weekends for me. I am a work in progress and Gid has been patiently pulling me closer to him for a very long time.

  35. What an amazing package! I have recently begun attending church regularly and could really use the bible (our church uses NIV but right now all I have is a New King James version). And I absolutely love the art canvas.

  36. I can totally relate with being too busy and over committed. I’ve found myself getting angry when I do try to spend time with God, at my inability to stay still and my inability to keep from getting distracted by something in life.
The world is becoming a much busier place, and its taking ALL of us with it.

  37. Thanks for offering this! Could certainly use this study :)

  38. This is such a great reminder!

    Kathy Kuegler says:

This post is so incredibly timely. I have struggled with the feelings described above. It took having surgery this past week and having forced down time for me to “be still” and devote time to God. I feel like my To-Do list is always calling to me, so my time with God always seems to rushed and distracted. I know I need to learn to carve out that down time in my regular schedule.

  62. Looks wonderful! Thank you :)

  93. True. Trying to do too much, not listening for His voice. Discounting my own needs. As a family we do practice a Sabbath rest day, but even that can be full of stress, with my “I just want to go somewhere, do something” thoughts that propel me, unplanned and unthinking back into the culture I’m trying to rest from, to meet with Him. So hard to unplug sometimes.
    Thanks for this post.

  94. Sounds wonderful! Would so love to be able to give this to a special young woman in my life who is struggling in this area.

  95. Thanks for the opportunity to win it!

  96. Sounds like just what I need.

  98. This sounds wonderful. I often struggle with finding my self-worth in others (namely my husband and his approval) and, being only human himself, he fails at times.
