Weekend giveaway: Treed

This giveaway is now closed.
Today’s weekend giveaway is for you iPad users! Treed is an iPad app designed for making progress on your goals. The premise is simple: envision your goal, think about how you can get there, and create a map of these tasks. They call this goal mapping.

It’s a combination of backwards planning and a tree diagram (hence the app name of Treed). Treed keeps track of your progress and dynamically updates a list of the actionable items based on your evolving map. Treed helps you keep the bigger picture in sight, while also helping you focus on what you can do now. It’s great for all kinds of projects and goals for work, home, school, or life.

The original seed for this app came from Cara Oba’s dissatisfaction with planning design projects. She was using various systems to track progress on her details, and found herself constantly rewriting lists. Creating something for the iPad was a no-brainer, since it made editing plans ridiculously simple and she could stay focused.

As stay-at-home/work-at-home parents gifted in design and programming, Treed is Kyle and Cara’s first product from their new business, Pas de Chocolat. It’s a different kind of tool that encourages thoughtful goal setting and planning.

Pas de Chocolat wants to give away 10 copies of their iPad app Treed (currently in the Apple store for $9.99) to Simple Mom readers! To enter, simply leave any comment on this post. (If you’re reading this via email, you must click over to the post to comment.)

This giveaway will end tonight. I’ll announce the winners soon!

  18. I see a lot of use coming from this app, it’s double duty. Thank you!

  19. What a timely post! I had an important meeting just yesterday and was lamenting the fact I didn’t have a software program that could easily capture the many aspects of our project. Instead I drew out diagrams with pen and paper. Not a total waste of time but a waste of real trees. I’m trying to go paperless as well become better organized in 2012. Having everything in one spot is the way to do it. Less mess, less stress. So in a nutshell, I’d loooove to try out Treed.

  20. My husband could definitely use this! He’s always trying to figure out how to make his ipad work for his business and this could help him track client projects. Love the way it looks, too!
