Weekend giveaway: Plan to Eat

This giveaway is closed.

Today’s giveaway comes from loyal monthly sponsor Plan to Eat, a genius little online program that pretty much does everything for you but actually cook your meals.

This is a simple tool that allows you to store your favorite recipes (and import them from around the Internet!), create menu plans using those recipes, and even provide grocery lists based on those same recipes.

My favorite feature? How astonishingly simple it is. Its clean interface allows for intuitive interaction — it took me mere seconds to get my account up and running, and I had my weekly menu plan created in minutes.

You can share recipes with others on Plan to Eat, you can organize your grocery lists by store, and you can tag your recipes in infinite ways. You can even track nutritional information and cost breakdown of all of your recipes and menus! And for those of you that love going paperless, you can use Plan to Eat’s mobile app to carry all your menu planning with you. No more accidentally leaving the house without your grocery list.

Take a tour of Plan to Eat to learn about more of its features… I’m still finding new ones! Oh, and you can look me up — my username is ‘tsh’ (creative, no?).

In the meantime, you can sign up for a free, 30-day trial.

Plan to Eat is offering fun cookware for three Simple Mom readers — one programmable 6-quart Crock Pot, and two immersion blenders!

To win one of these three items, simply leave any comment on this post. If you’re reading this in an email, you must click over to the post and comment here.

This giveaway will end tonight, Saturday, June 25 at 11:59 p.m. I’ll announce the winner soon after. I hope you win!

  2. I’m down like China Town. But do you have to be a mamma? Or can you be a manny as well?

    • “Down like China Town?” I LOVE that! Good that you’re a manny–I was a nanny once. How did you get into that?

  7. Yay! I’m in! I’m in!

  8. Not sure if I am eligible for the prize here in Australia but I just wanted to tell you that Plan To Eat is brilliant! Just today I used it to make four dishes which will go into the freezer in portions for my work-day lunches: I sourced the recipes from recipe sites, added them to my P2Eat simply with a button on my browser toolbar, planned out when the meals are for and created a shopping list which I then emailed to myself to read on my phone at the supermarket! Once home, I could follow the recipes on my laptop (and dream how easy that would be with an iPad or other tablet) and now have everything cooling so I can package and freeze tomorrow!

  9. I got into canning last summer, so the immersion blender would be fantastic. A crock pot would be handy, too, since we often prepare meals for families in need.

  78. I actually have a question about P2E – hope someone here can answer it for me? I saw on the tour the page with the “pantry inventory” – can you add those things outright? Like, instead of the whole “moving it from the grocery list (a recipe told me I need it) to the pantry list”, I could have a fridge inventory, a deep freezer inventory, and a pantry inventory? THIS is what I really need, and if that’s there, I’m IN. Someone hook sistah up?
