    I am leaning more and more towards glass containers in my kitchen for several reasons, the main reason actually being because I think the dry goods stored in them actually look nice. :-) It is part of my kitchen decor.

    so many fabulous products!!

  82. Still migrating away from plastic due to the cost of the glass….we’ll get there eventually. Glass is quite heavy for the littles ones in lunch bags though. What do others do?

    • I don’t have little ones yet, but I was a nanny for a while. They didn’t want the kids using plastic, so they used lightweight aluminum containers (I have no idea where they bought them, though–sorry about that!). They were perfect for the little ones with their little hands and I was far less worried about them breaking those. Glass in the hands of an active 7 year old made me nervous! Sure, they dented the metal containers, but they seemed to be fairly kiddo-proof to me!

  84. This would be PERFECT for us! We’ve been trying to get rid of plastics in our home (and other nasties, but there seems to be so much PLASTIC) due to some health concerns for both DH and I, but we haven’t been able to afford glassware yet (living on one income is rough right now).

  94. What great stuff. I love using sturdy glass in the kitchen. They seem to hold up well and don’t get that funky white stuff on them in the dishwasher like plastic counterparts.
