Ep. 66: The Harder Parts of Travel
Boy, the name of this episode makes you want to dig right in, eh? In this one, we get into some important stuff you don’t want to miss—it’s the harder parts about travel, the stuff you don’t always hear.
Co-host Stephanie comes to this episode from Central America, where she’s currently traveling for a few months with her family of 7. She shares real-talk about her internal processing of traveling in a developing country, juggling lots of kids, feeling flustered, and doubting the effort is worth it.
I use some of my debriefing questions from my travel journal, which covers the “other stuff”—the emotional, spiritual, and relational things that we often forget to work through. (It’s free to you when you pre-order my new book!)
In the end, travel is still worth it, and it’s a privilege not to be taken lightly. But the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and it’s not always a walk in the park.
