Weekend giveaway: Plan to Eat

About Tsh

Tsh is the founder of this blog and lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband and 3 kids. Her latest book is Notes From a Blue Bike, and believes a passport is one of the world's greatest textbooks.

Today’s giveaway comes from sponsor Plan to Eat, a genius little online program that pretty much does everything for you but actually cook your meals.

This is a simple tool that allows you to store your favorite recipes (and import them from around the Internet!), create menu plans using those recipes, and even provide grocery lists based on those same recipes.

My favorite feature? How astonishingly simple it is. Its clean interface allows for intuitive interaction — it took me mere seconds to get my account up and running, and I had my weekly menu plan created in minutes.

You can share recipes with others on Plan to Eat, you can organize your grocery lists by store, and you can tag your recipes in infinite ways. You can even track nutritional information and cost breakdown of all of your recipes and menus! And for those of you that love going paperless, you can use Plan to Eat’s mobile app to carry all your menu planning with you. No more accidentally leaving the house without your grocery list.

Take a tour of Plan to Eat to learn about more of its features… I’m still finding new ones!

  11. I’ve been thinking about subscribing because it seems like it would make my hectic family life so much easier since I’ve taken a more active role in our family business, Northside Tattoos. Love Simple Mom for strategies on balancing work and family life and all of the blog tips. Thank you so much for sharing your tips on such an important part of my life right now: simplifying, downsizing and doing only what is important to our family!

  12. I meal plan every week and love cooking! This would be an awesome tool for me to have!

  13. My goal for the month of June is to meal plan (and follow the plan!). So this would be a great tool to have! Thanks for the chance to win.

  14. wow, looks great! I like that it uses your own recipes, my kids are a bit picky and making recipes from pre-made meal plans hasn’t worked for us – i do all the work and then i have to force them to eat. sigh. much nicer to be able to make stuf they like but have it planned so my life is easier.

  30. I could really use this menu planner!! I have a 3 year old girl and twin 4 month old boys. It’s impossible to just run to the grocery store and grab what I need, so I really need to plan ahead to make sure we’re eating right as a family.

  31. Finally a menu plan that I would actually use. It looks great and i love the app for it.

  32. I am so impressed! I’ve used menu planning sites before, but they all seemed to be missing something- none of them had it all- until now! WOW!

  33. me, too. When meals are planned, life is smooth. When they’re not (most of the time :( ) it’s not. Dinner is late. Bedtime is late. I’m too tired to get anything done after bedtime. Maybe Plan to Eat will help me get the whole schedule on track : )

    amy miller says:

oooohhh, this sounds so much lovelier than my current situation: sitting on the couch for two hours each weekend with the food ads hoping to dream up new ways to eat our regular meals each week! Pick me, pick me!

  83. This? This is something I need! I have my most commonly used meals & their ingredients printed out and in a binder, but then I have to figure out what I have and what I need and flip back and forth through lots of paper to get it all written on yet another piece of paper. Computerized, easy input sounds like a winner to me!
