Humbling laurels for Simple Mom

I’m really overwhelmed today.

My recent post on why and how we should save for our kids’ education early is featured in the 151st Carnival of Personal Finance, hosted at the U.S. News and World Report blog. In fact, it’s an Editor’s Choice. Wowzers. Thanks so much!

Alltop, all the top stories
Simple Mom is now also listed in Alltop in the mom collection. I recommend heading over there and checking out this aggregation site – it’s a fun, new way to read new stories from blogs. In fact, this is where I’m discovering all kinds of new blogs out there (as if I needed to find any more!). And I’m honored to be listed there.

Since we’re talking about cool stuff that’s happening with this rather new-ish blog, I’m thrilled to say that as of yesterday, 142 of you are subscribers here! I know that’s kinda small potatoes to some other blogs out there, but I’m stoked. I had a goal of reaching 100 subscribers by the end of May, so it looks like I’ll be making a new goal. Thank you all so much!

(One of the goals of this blog is to bring in a part-time income while we’re living overseas. Don’t get me wrong – I enjoy writing about the topics here so much that I’ll truly do it for free. We make a very small income working over here, and that’s okay – but we figured it wouldn’t hurt to make some money for our savings account while I’m doing something as a hobby anyway.)

I really am so thankful for my readers – you guys are the best! If you’re up for spreading more Simple Mom love on your own blogs, here are some buttons. I’d be so grateful:
