A field guide to redesigning your simple life

You might have seen on the blog’s Facebook page yesterday that I asked you guys for a bit of help. See, next month I’m leading a workshop, and you are all invited.

World Domination Summit is currently my favorite conference (funny name, I know), and this year, they’re trying something new—academies before and after the main conference. The cool thing? You don’t even have to go to the conference to attend an academy. Anyone can register for any academy separately. So if you’re in the general Portland area, I’d love for you to come and spend an afternoon with me!

A Field Guide to Redesigning Your Simple Life

Spanning four hours, this academy will start with a redefinition of simple living—because if you’ve been reading this blog long enough, you know I prescribe to a rather unconventional definition of this popular buzzword.

We’ll then work collectively to help you craft you (or your family’s) purpose statement, the foundation for which all other decisions are made. This is the number one thing I tell anyone who asks me where to begin with simplifying their life, so honestly, if you leave the workshop only having accomplished this, you’ll be lightyears ahead from where you started.

After we struggle through purpose statements, we’ll deconstruct a few pieces of modern-day life, and how to confidently make daily choices that add up to the sum of a life that aligns with your passions and priorities. Stuff like:

  • how to rethink ‘work’ and discover what you’re made to do
  • know what in your life is truly beautiful and useful, so that you can peacefully jettison the rest
  • how to freely declutter without guilt, fear, or purposelessness
  • make an action plan for the next one, five, and ten years, and leave with your top three steps you can start the minute you leave

…all based on your personalized purpose statement, all specific to you. No one-size-fits-all formulas, no promises of an easy life.

A field guide for redesigning your simple life: a half-day workshop with Tsh Oxenreider!

And don’t worry, I’m an introvert—so there’s plenty of time carved into the workshop for solo reflection time with a journal and cup of coffee. You’re welcome to talk all this stuff out or just sit and enjoy a day focused on taking care of you.

Sound good? Head here to register!

(And if you can’t make it, never fear—this workshop is a blueprint for future personalized and group virtual life coaching. Wanna know when that’s available? Sign up here. It’s the next best thing to doing it live.)

  1. This sounds like a wonderful session! I always wish I could get to some of these great conferences, unfortunately not feasible for me right now…not to mention not close to me at all since I am in Maine 🙂 The coaching sounds interesting though! I think you could have an online workshop and do quite well, I know I would love to see something like that!

  2. This sounds fantastic! Is it available on podcast?

  3. I am so excited! I will be in Oregon during that time, and I just registered!! Thanks for the opportunity.

  4. This workshop sounds perfect and exactly what I need! If only I weren’t on the opposite side of the globe…

  5. Now, I’m nowhere near but in Europe, but have been following this blog loosely since about a year. I trust you will post, discretion permitting, some of the participants’ definitions and notes here later?

  6. I wish SO bad I were in Bend! I keep saying, “I must meet this woman! She’s amazing!” Are you headed to Alabama at all?? I am reading Notes From A Blue Bike right now and OH MY GOSH! I keep reading parts out loud to my husband. We both nod in 100% agreement. We need this simpler, intentional life! Your book – you – so inspirational! Only on chapter 12 (started today, too) and I’m now on the hunt for a CSA or something for those fresh eggs you keep talking about.
