EntreLeadership (giveaway!)

This giveaway has now ended. Check back soon for the results!

This past spring, I attended a satellite feed in Austin of Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership one-day seminar. I left feeling jazzed about my work, stoked about the ideas percolating in my head, and motivated to get long-awaited ideas finally moving.

You may not agree with everything Dave says about money, but you’ve got to admit—he’s one heck of an entrepreneur. He built something major out of negative personal circumstances, and his business is growing like wildfire. He’s also an amazing leader, and knows how to motivate, encourage, and serve well.

Today, his new book of the same name releases. EntreLeadership is for anyone working, whether you’re employed by a Fortune 500 company or you’re setting up a cottage industry from your dining room table.

We’ve talked a lot on Simple Mom about working from home. If this is even an inkling of an interest for you, then you’ll need this book. EntreLeadership is his seminar on business leadership in book form.

Want to win one? Dave is giving 10 Simple Mom readers a copy of his new book!

I need a fresh perspective on how to make my struggling at-home business work for me and my family while glorifying the Lord with it. After experiencing Dave’s Financial Peace University (FPU) earlier this year, I value his opinions and look forward to hearing what he has to say on this topic. FPU was a huge help to our family’s personal finances, and it turned out to be a great marriage builder as well. 69. Wendy Jackson says:

A few years ago, my husband and I decided to trust God and he left his real job making lots of money as a head Linux programmer so we could serve our church. He is now associate pastor at RiverRock Christian Fellowship, a small church serving about 150 people in central Maine. I homeschool five children, run our children’s church program, lead a small home group, mentor a few moms and try to make ends meet as creatively as I can. There just is not enough money right now and I have been talking about getting a job, but I cannot see how that would be possible with all the things I am already doing/being. My husband has said for years that I’d be a great blogger, I certainly have many passions to write on. He thinks I could earn money….really? I am a faithful follower of simplemom, occasionally checking out her weekend links, but SM is the only blog I have stuck with over the years. He thinks I could do all kinds of things to make money that isn’t bagging groceries or cleaning someone else’s toilets. But I honestly don’t believe it and I don’t feel I have the time to “waste” trying to make money that I don’t see myself making. It’s a terrible place to be. Dave Ramsey saved our marriage about 10 years ago (we were actually more poor back then, when we had a good income and no knowledge of how to handle money). We just celebrated our 20th anniversary this summer and in many ways we are thriving. My husband says I’m believing a lie when I believe I’m worth no more than bagging groceries and could not make a living any other way. But my experience with Dave R. is that he can say the same things my man says, only in a funny and motivational way that is believable to me. I’d like to read what Dave says, so, one day, my loving husband can smile and again say, “I told you so.”

  70. I have been in the corp world for about 12 years and your previous blogs on Working from Home have motivated me to take action. No one else is going to do it for me 🙂 I have 3 little ones and I don’t want to miss their lives. I am ready to take that leap out of the corp world and would love the guidance this book can provide.

    Thank you for the opportunity!

  71. I am self-employed as a doula and could definitely use some guidance on the business side of this work. I would also love to share this book with so many of my friends who are self-employed and/or starting businesses from home while they raise their children. What a great resource!

  72. I’ve been thinking about trying to start a homebased crafting business for a while now, I’d really like to give this a read 🙂

  74. As an entrepreneur myself, I’d be honored to win a copy of EntreLeadership! Thanks!

  75. The reasonsI really, really need to win a copy of this book is because I am a huge fan of Dave Ramsey and I am a work from home mom who runs a small business. I started my business about 5 years ago and now have two part time employees. My husband is about to go back to school and we plan on solely living on the profits of my business for the next four years. When he graduates, we would like to sell the business, so that I can focus completely on being a homeschooling mom. As you can see, I need all of the help I can get. We currently have two wonderful children and one on the way. Please pick me!

  76. My husband and I would both benefit from this. We’re also big Dave Ramsey fans!

  77. I would love to win Dave’s new book. I recently began to stay at home with my boys full time but still occasionally teach on the side. I’ve also played around with a few ideas for businesses from home, but I’m quite intimidated by the idea. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love the topic of leadership and I also think Dave Ramsey is a fantastic advocate of leadership!

  87. Julie Holland says:

    Looks like a worthwhile read!

  88. I’m actually going to one of Dave’s EntreLeadership simulcasts next week. This book would be great to have since you can only take so many notes! My husband and I are fairly new owners of a retail business and neither of us feel confident as leaders and know we have a lot of room to grow yet.

  89. Candice Kingston says:

I would love to win this book! I am Beijing addicted to Dave Ramsey books and this one is not available at my library yet! Please pick me! Thanks!
