Nicole lives near the beach in Southern California with her husband and three young kiddos. She writes a a lifestyle blog about creativity, family life, community, and all sorts of other fun stuff, and also keeps a homeschool journal called The Bennettar Academy. Her most recent (free!) ebook is about why and how to make more time for reading.

Today is day 25 and 26 of Sewing School.

Well, we didn”t get to french seams like I was planning for yesterday, but sometimes that”s just how life goes, right? I figured I would leave you with a link to a great tutorial for doing french seams and move on, because today”s post is one I didn”t want to give up, even this month.

I will say, that french seams are the best way to keep the inside of your fabric nice and neat looking, with no frayed edges. I sewed my first french seams when I used this tote bag pattern a few years ago (I even wrote a silly poem to give with the bags as gifts).

So while I haven”t been able to do much sewing this month since I”ve been spending so much time writing about sewing, I did buy some supplies to start Christmas-gift-making. I have a few things planned for kids” stockings and family gifts that will require sewing and I can”t wait to start creating.

To be honest, I”m a little sick of myself since I”ve been all alone on the blog here this Det ar ett perfekt satt att prova nya slots eller bara se om man gillar att spela pa ett visst casino . month (I do have a guest post lined up for tomorrow however!). :) So I can”t wait to sit back and read your links and see what you”ve been up to this month from all the great ideas you”ve found via Pinterest.

I like to say via Pinterest instead of on Pinterest because like I”ve mentioned before, etiquette requires us to give credit where credit is due, remembering that the ideas don”t come from Pinterest– Pinterest doesn”t make things— that”s just where great, pretty, fun ideas are collated and collected.

So let”s see it! What have you been up to? Has anyone tried their hand at their first sewing projects yet?
